It’s that time of the year again! The Salesforce Spring Releases 24′ is already here,
bringing with it a world of new features, improvements and updates.

If you are new to Salesforce, you may not know that Salesforce has 3 big releases every year. These seasonal releases are called Spring, Summer, and Winter – after the time of the year. It’s (finally) time for the Salesforce Spring 24 release!

What’s new from Salesforce Spring 24

The Salesforce Spring 24 release is highly anticipated since it is packed with innovative and forward-looking features as companies plan the year ahead.

What is Salesforce Spring 24?

Salesforce Spring 24 is the latest release of updates and features of the Salesforce CRM platform. This Spring 24 release includes updates to the core clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud), to industry-specific clouds (Health Cloud, Finance Cloud), and more. But of all the updates, one stood above all others: Einstein AI is the big protagonist this spring!

The bulk of the features and updates have been available from February 12, 2024, with possibly more minor updates or features to be released in the near future. But for those who can’t wait to know what’s up, here’s rundown of the key highlights:

Salesforce Spring 24 release highlights

Spring 24 is described by Salesforce themselves as “Data + AI + CRM + Trust”. The set of updates and features emphasise Salesforce’s commitment to AI and automation, but also focuses on customization across diverse clouds.

Einstein Copilot takes the wheel:

Einstein Copilot is a conversational AI assistant that helps with productivity and efficiency within the Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Copilot is now able to interpret complex natural language inputs and make suggestions, offer insights, follow up with customers and prospects, automate tasks, or create flows, among many others.

It improves service delivery and payment experience for customers and, internally, perfects the communication and collaboration between finance, sales, and other departments. This solution is a part of the Salesforce Sales Cloud.

Prompt builder supercharged:

Using AI is easy. The hard part, as anyone who has ever used ChatGPT will know, is creating the prompts that direct the AI where you want it to go. To that end, Salesforce has beefed up its prompt builder. It nows allows you to create, test and customise prompt templates without code, with access to a wide Prompt Library. You can now create chat bots for platforms beyond Salesforce, with Einstein Trust Layer ensuring security at all times.

Marketing Cloud goes full AI:

You can now use Einstein Journey Insights to craft bespoke customer journeys, discover customer engagement patterns and identify engaged customers with Einstein Engagement Scoring. Ideally, this will allow you to tailor the perfect content to each customer with Einstein Content Recommendations.

Streamlined Commerce Operations:

The Commerce Cloud now comes with automated store launches, AI-powered semantic searches, and easier subscription management. Order management has also become more streamlined with Uneven Exchanges and Return Insight.

Code Builder Boost:

Salesforce Code Builder allows to create Salesforce applications from the web with Salesforce languages and frameworks. The improvements include new Lightning Web Components, enhanced APIs, stronger security features, and more powerful collaboration tools.

BYOL with BigQuery:

Salesforce Spring 24 enables users to map data easily from Google’s BigQuery to Salesforce Data Cloud model with Bring Your Own Lake (BYOL) technology – all this for enhanced performance and speed.

Salesforce x Slack Canvas:

Communication and data sharing between Salesforce and Slack is even sleeker with the Salesforce Spring Release 24. The improved Canvas template gallery now offers access to 15 templates that make it easier to standardise communications and simplify processes.

There are also exciting updates and new features for industry-specific Clouds, such as the Education Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, Automotive Cloud, Health Cloud, Energy & Utilities, and so on, and some improvements for MuleSoft integrations.
